SpeakAndRecord does not collect, store, or transmit your audio data. All recording, transcription, and audio processing happens locally in your browser. This policy explains what limited data we do collect and how it is used.
None of your audio is sent to our servers. When you use any SpeakAndRecord tool — voice recorder, speech-to-text, audio cutter, screen recorder, microphone test, audio merger, or audio-to-text — all processing occurs in your browser using:
Files you upload (audio-cutter, audio-merger, audio-to-text) are read by your browser's FileReader API and never leave your device.
Voice note transcripts are saved to your browser's localStorage — a local storage mechanism on your device. Audio blobs (the actual recordings) are stored as object URLs in memory for the duration of the session only. Closing the tab removes the audio. Transcripts persist in localStorage until you delete them via the interface or clear your browser data. No note data is synced to any server.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous page view and session data. This includes your approximate geographic location (city level), device type, browser, and pages visited. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
SpeakAndRecord itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies for analytics and advertising purposes respectively. These are standard third-party cookies.
SpeakAndRecord is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
